Jenas pens new deal

Tottenham’s midfielder Jermaine Jenas signed a new five-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2012.

 

United to bid for Berba

Manchester United plan to bid for Spurs talisman Dimitar Berbatov today. Sir Alex Ferguson is a keen admirer of the Bulgarian international and is planning a  £22million bid. This does however fall short of Spurs’ £40million valuation.

Spurs haggle over Defoe-SWP swap deal

According to The Sun Tottenham and Chelsea are negotiating over a possible swap deal for striker Jermain Defoe and Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips. Apparently both players have agreed to the switch but the deal is being held up because Tottenham want an extra £4million.
